As the President of St. Francis School, Udasa, Umrer, it is my immense pleasure to share a message with our cherished students, dedicated parents, and tireless staff.
St. Francis Assisi School, established in 2015, began with a humble nine students and has since grown into a thriving institution, now reaching up to the 7th standard with a strength of 700 students. This remarkable growth is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our sisters, teachers, and the unwavering support of our parent community.
Our mission, deeply rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and St. Francis of Assisi, is to discover and develop the finest qualities in human beings, to form healthy persons of mind and body ready to face life's challenges, and to shape a new generation with a difference. We strive to inculcate strong values, fostering good character and responsible citizens, and to provide intellectual excellence and competence.
We believe that education is a shared responsibility between the school and parents. Your involvement and support are crucial to our success, and we are committed to fostering an environment where students thrive academically and personally. We are proud of our students' consistent academic excellence, with many achieving scores of 90 and above, reflecting their hard work and our staff's dedication.
This year, we are excited to continue enhancing our educational offerings. We have integrated Robotics and Coding into the curriculum, extended physical education periods for improved health and teamwork, and introduced new awards for full attendance, fabulous behavior, and exceptional reading habits. We've also expanded in-school activities to cater to a wider range of interests, including arts, sciences, and technology, and will be organizing an 'Annual School Exhibition' to showcase student learning creatively.
Beyond academics, our robust extracurricular activities, such as classical dance and sports coaching, continue to provide avenues for students to explore and excel. We are also introducing "Bagless days" thrice a year, replacing academic work with co-curricular pursuits like talent days and exciting new competitions, including Master Chef and Master and Miss SFS, to encourage hidden talents. Furthermore, we will be initiating the NCC (National Cadet Corps) unit for students of Classes 8 and 9 and continuing our ongoing Student Exchange Programme with Germany to provide international experiential learning.
Recognizing the vital role parents play, we have introduced class-wise parenting seminars this year, hoping you will seize this opportunity for personal learning.
To our dear students, your energy and ambition are the heartbeat of St. Francis School. We are confident that this year will be another chapter of success stories and cherished memories. Let us embark on this academic year with enthusiasm and commitment, ready to achieve new heights and celebrate our collective accomplishments.
May the Lord bless you, your family, and St. Francis School!
